Honoring Antonio's Birthday by Spreading Compassion
Antonio’s untimely passing in 2019 brought excruciating pain to all of us who had the privilege to know him, leaving a void that reminds us of the fragility of life. It also inspires us to seize every moment to spread kindness and compassion.
Â
Every day we honor Antonio’s life and legacy. We established The Antonio Tsialas Leadership Foundation (ATLF) to raise hazing awareness. It quickly evolved to reflect Antonio’s compassionate being and supportive nature. While sharing the foundation’s mission and Antonio’s story, it became evident that developing a new generation of leaders is essential and compassion is key to end hazing.
Â
The ATLF Ambassador program was developed not only to educate young adults about the dangers of hazing, but to inspire them to become compassionate leaders who will lead groups and organizations into more promising future.
Â
Today, to mark Antonio’s birthday, we invite you to choose an action you can take to lead to a more compassionate future.

Lift the veil of secrecy, by starting a conversation with your friends or family about hazing
Ask the leaders at your school if they are open to hosting our leadership training or hazing prevention seminars.
Always lead with compassion and say yes to life!
ATLF AMBASSADORS' CORNER
As we celebrate Antonio's 23rd birthday, I realize that his legacy affects me in a positive way every day, not only as a person, but as a goalkeeper. Every time I step on the field his memory reminds me of what compassionate leadership is all about. He inspires me to truly be that player that doesn't stop "until the lights go out." I hope on this special day everyone will take a moment to honor Antonio's legacy, meditate on how he was a compassionate leader, and consider how you can model that own leadership in your own life.Â

Michael Bittner McPherson
ATLF Ambassador
Before ATLF, I never had a conversation about leadership. It was always: Be a good leader, Be kind to others, and Set a good example. Yet, we never discussed what constituted "good" or how one can be kind to others let alone kind to themselves in moments of uncertainty. During an ATLF Zoom meeting, I posed a question surrounding accountability for both the leader and those around them. Only then did I realize leadership had been a one-sided conversation.
In that meeting, we discussed the responsibility of both parties and even brought personal experiences. I felt encouraged to keep posing these questions among friends and family and even question who we typically view as good leaders. Without ATLF, I'd still be having that one-sided conversation.

Ambassadors Wrap Up Granola Fundraiser
This summer our ATLF ambassadors launched a new fundraiser selling granola from Flavia’s Healthy Kitchen. In only one month, we raised $1,000 for ATLF Compassionate Leadership Scholarships.

A special thank you to our ATLF ambassador Christopher for organizing and coordinating this effort. We appreciate all our ATLF ambassadors, board members, families, friends, and neighbors for their purchases and generous donations.
